Cheryl Calo is an Emmy Nominated MAKEUP ARTIST, HAIRSTYLIST, AND GROOMER known for creating picture perfect looks for celebrity clientele including Cameron Diaz, Halle Barry, Angelina Jolie, Jude Law, Rob Lowe, among many others. During her work on the infamous How I Met Your Mother, Cheryl was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Makeup in a Multi-Camera series. As a Union Makeup Artist, Cheryl works on numerous television shows, including American Idol, Dancing With the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance, to name a few. Cheryl’s aesthetic philosophy is to enhance a woman and a man’s natural beauty so that they can be the best version of themselves. Cheryl is no stranger to competition. At age 16 she was crowned Miss Connecticut National Teenager. She then went on to graduate New York’s Pratt Institute with a Bachelors of Fine Arts, majoring in Fashion Design and minoring in Painting. Her education catapults her as a true makeup “Artist”. Competing again, Cheryl won the prestigious Young Fashion Designers Competition, where she represented the United States. This opened up a world of possibilities in fashion for her. Cheryl truly is a master of both mediums. Her makeup is fresh and natural, which illuminates her clients’ best assets and the hairstyles she creates are current and innovative. Cheryl is soon to acquire her Journeyman Makeup Artist title in the CA local 706 Union. Over 25 years of experience, Cheryl approaches both hair and makeup with a sense of balance and impact. Her calm, caring presence has resulted in a loyal clientele of some of the most beautiful and admired people. Cheryl’s makeup and hair expertise is called upon for editorial, runway, advertising campaigns, music videos, awards shows, television, premieres and many other red carpet events. Cheryl is currently the Key Makeup Artist on HBO’s Emmy award winning VEEP.
Raised in London UK, Christina’s pursuit for all things beautiful began as a young girl, perusing fashion magazines and watching the cult show Fashion TV. Intrigued by the backstage previews of makeup with headlining artists such as Charlotte Tilbury & Pat McGrath, the seed to what would become a career in makeup that has spanned over a decade was initially planted. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2007, Christina began her career in the Hollywood celebrity and beauty industry. Her signature ‘Healthy Skin’ makeup look and meticulous attention to detail had her quickly in demand by advertising clients and the elite of Hollywood. Some of her current clients include Willa Holland, Chrissy Teigen and Brittany Snow. Her most recent advertising campaigns include Givenchy S/S15 Mens, Mudd for Kohl’s and Acura TLX. Christina is also a beauty expert and does consulting for brands such as Neutrogena and New Beauty Magazine. She is also a freelance beauty editor for Beauty & Entertainment Magazine.
Stephanie moved to Los Angeles at just 17 years old with dreams of being a successful makeup artist. A long list of clients came quickly as she took up new roots in LA. Her talent and tenacity has brought in work from many directions, including feature films, commercials, editorial and special events. Her recent work includes commercials for Disney, Virgin Airlines and Audi. Her loyal cliental appreciate her talents and she continues to thrive in the competitive market. Stephanie loves to share her knowledge and has made several TV appearances giving beauty advice and makeovers. When Stephanie is not working in the beauty biz she explores her other passions, which include health, running, natural foods and exploring wild places. She tends to an 80 square foot garden, loves to cook and try out new recipes. She is not afraid of hard work. On most weekends she climbs and enjoys mountaineering adventures in the High Sierras. Just last winter she completed The Mountaineer’s Route on Mt. Whitney, the highest mountain in the lower 48 states. She resides in Echo Park with her boyfriend Jared and cat Bella.
Cheyenne has a keen eye and artful hand, taking her training and love for art and painting and translated it into makeup. Utilizing the face and body as her canvas, Cheyenne works in a wide variety of media and projects, magically transforming actors and everyday people. Rachel is freelance makeup artist and esthetician based in LA. With over 10 years of experience in the beauty industry, she knows that the most important start to a gorgeous makeup application is healthy skin. Rachel specializes in film, print, commercial, red carpet events and weddings. Her signature look enhances a naturally radiant and glowy complexion that displays her client’s best features. Growing up she always loved painting and playing around with different mediums, styles and mixing. As Rachel got older and started using makeup, it was a natural evolution for her to combine her art background with a live canvas. There is nothing quite like having a person actually wear your work!
In 2007, Casey became a full-time makeup artist and hairstylist at E! Entertainment where she was the department head of E! News Now. She has also worked on other shows such as E! News, The Daily 10, E True Hollywood Story, and many red carpet events including The Grammy’s ,The Golden Globes, The SAG Awards and The Oscars. During this time, Casey also worked on other shows for many different networks including CBS, NBC, ESPN , NFL Network and Lifetime.
Casey is also a proud member of The Hollywood Hair and Makeup Stylists Guild Local 706, one of the most coveted groups of hair and makeup artists in Los Angeles. It provides her with constant education and updates in the field of hair and makeup.
Casey now resides in Florida where she is able to put more focus on bicoastal editorial work and often with the agency Artists by Timothy Priano.
